hArt (Hampshire Art for Recreation Therapy) aims to provide creative opportunities for everyone to improve their health and well-being, whatever their age and ability.
Barker-Mill Foundation has donated £982 towards the charity’s next project, “Spirit of the Forest”, which will provide 12 weekly sessions for adults referred from Solent Mind to work in the outdoor space of the Pond Head Charitable Trust at Lyndhurst.
The participants will be encouraged to explore their feelings and responses to the outdoor environment. The aim is to increase the confidence and self-esteem of the participants, improve their social interaction and explore new ways of expressing their feelings.
